Vientiane-Xiengkhouang-Luangprabang

Meet at Thadeua or Vientiane Airport. Transfer to hotel. Sightseeing of Vientiane visit Wat Simuang, Wat Sisaket, Horprakeo, That Luang and Pratuxai (Arc the Triumphe). Return to hotel and free time.

Day 2: Xiengkhouang

Breakfast at hotel then flight to Xieng Khouang. Arrive at Phone Savanh. Transfer to hotels and city tour around the town. Free time at leisure.

Day 3: Plain of Jars

Breakfast at hotel and en route to visit the plain of jars. Mysterious and ancient, the stone jars are apparently carved out of solid rock and are scattered all over the plateau. The biggest jar is more than 3.25 meters high. There are several different theories as to the purpose of the jars, which are estimated to be 2,500 to 3,000 years old. Return to hotel and free time.

Day 4: Luangprabang

Breakfast at hotel then transfer to airport for flight to Luang Prabang. City tour visit former royal temples, Wat Visun where one can see the Biggest Buddha statue. Wat Xieng Thong where the former royal carriage is placing. Mt Phousi overlooking the city of Luang Prabang.

Day 5: Kwangsi Waterfall

Visit the museum (former king's palace). Then overland route to Kwangsi water fall and visit the famous paper Sa weaving village.

Day 6: Tam Ting

Transfer to boat landing to upstream by local boat on the Mekong river to visit Tham Ting cave and on the way a short stop at Ban Sang Hai to visit a traditional distillation of Lao alcohol. Afternoon return to Luang Prabang and free time at convenience.

Day 7: Vientiane

Visit morning market then take a local flight back to Vientiane and free time at leisure.

Day8: Departure

Breakfast at hotel then transfer to Thadeua or Vientiane Airport for departure.
