Vientiane-Xiengkhuang-Champasack

Day1: Vientiane  

Meet on arrival at Wattay International Airport (WIA) or Friendship Bridge (FB) and transfer to hotel. then visit the city: Vat Sisaket, Ho Prakeo, That Luang Stupa.

 

Day2: Xieng Khuang 

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to domestic airport and take off to Xieng Khuang. Arrive at Phonsavanh then transfer to hotel and visit the Plain of Jars: Mysterious and ancient, the stone jars are apparently carved out of solid rock and are scattered all over the plateau. The biggest jar is more than 3.25 meters high. There are several different theories as to the purpose of the jars, which are estimated to be 2,500 to 3,000 years old.

 

Day 3: Vientiane 

Visit the morning market and then transfer to airport to take off to Vientiane. Arrive in Vientiane, transfer to hotel and free time at leisure.

Day 4: Champassak 

Early morning flight to Pakse, Champassak. Pick-up and enroute to the Four Thousand Islands "Kong Island" with side-visit to Vay Phu, an archeological site built in 6th century by Khmer. It is a preangkorian temple intended to Brahmanism practices of the people live in the Champapura city. Research undertaken by the UNESCO in the area surrounding Vat Phu, a former city was discovered hidden under the ground. A visit continue to a religious sanctuary on the route to Khong Island.

 

Day 5: Khong Island “the Land of Four Thousand Islands.”

After breakfast, head to the boat landing for an trip downstream where natural beauty and well preserved ecology can be observed. Explore the remains of French protectorate period: locomotive, bridge, railway and the Corridor of Devil, Li Phi waterfall. Travel upstream to visit a fishery village and later Khone Prapheng Waterfall "the wonder of the Mekong". Return to Pakse and free time at leisure.

 

Day 6: Departure

Visit the city then transfer to Vang Tao Chong Mek (Lao-Thai) border for departure.
