Pi Mai Lao "Lao New Year"

Meet at Wattay International Airport (WIA) or Friendship Bridge (FB) then visit the city: Vat sisaket, Ho Prakeo, That Luang Stupa . Lunch at down town restaurant then transfer to domestic airport and take off to Luang Prabang. Arrive at Luang Prabang, transfer to hotel then visit the city: Vat Vixoun, Vat Xieng Thong, Vat May. Diner and accommodation.

Day 2: Luang Prabang

Visit the exhibition fair of local products and handicrafts and discover the preparation of the Lao New Year in the corners of the city. Lunch at down town restaurant then join the local people on the banks of the Mekong to build a mount of sand to grand your wishes for the year coming. Return to the hotel to attend at the traditional Baci ceremony to call back your souls scattered and wandered in the nature to remain in your body, that's the belief of Lao people, then every one enjoy Lamvong (Traditional Lao dance).

Day 3: Luang Prabang

Breakfast at the hotel then transfer to boat landing and upstream to Tham Ting Cave. On the way short stop at Ban Sang Hai a Lao alcohol distillery village. Picnic lunch at Pak Ou then overland route back to Luang Prabang to attend the Lao New Year procession ceremony. Return to hotel, diner and accommodation.

Day 4: Vientiane

Breakfast then visit the former Royal Palace convert in National Museum. Transfer to airport to take off to Vientiane. Arrive in Vientiane and free time at leisure. Lunch and diner at your convenience. Good night!

Day 5: Departure

Breakfast and transfer to WIA or FB for departure.

Note: Demand to attend the Lao New Year in Luang Prabang is very high and the hotel rooms are limited during this period. So visitors are advised to book now to be sure The Lao New Year is held in the whole country at the same date in mid April of the year. Exact date to be confirmed before leaving to Laos.
