Day01: Hueixay/Pak Beng (Lunch, Dinner)
Luang Say boat leaves slow boat pier at 9am for cruising down the Mekong River to Luang Say Lodge in Pakbeng. One stop is made en route to Pakbeng to observe a rural life along the Mekong River at Ban Houy Phalam; a Kamu village. A buffet lunch is served on board. The boat arrives at Luang Say Lodge before sunset for an overnight stay and a dinner is served on the terrace overlooking the Mekong River.
Day02: Pakbeng – Kamu Lodge (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
A continental breakfast is served on the terrace from 7am. The boat leaves Luang Say Lodge at 8am and the first stop is at Ban Baw village to observe the process of making traditional rice alcohol. A buffet lunch is served on board. Then, the boat arrives at Kamu Lodge around 2pm so you will able to check in and participate in different activities such as; visiting Kamu village, archery contest, rice planting and harvesting fishing and gold panning (January to June). A set menu dinner is served at the open air restaurants and you will stay overnight at Kamu Lodge.
Day03: Kamu Lodge – Pak U – Luang Prabang (Breakfast, Lunch)
Visit the local market in the morning, and then continue the boat trip downstream to Luang Prabang. Arrive at the sacred of Pak Ou Caves, locally called Tham Ting – underground sanctuaries venerated for centuries – it houses of thousand of gold lacquered of Buddha statues crammed into two caves, the upper and the lower, carved out of a towering limestone cliff. The statues range in size from a few centimetres tall to the size of a human, and the view from the mouth of the cave provides sweeping views of the Mekong and Nam Ou rivers. The caves are as well a destination for local pilgrimages, especially during the Lao New Year period of Pii Mai. Short visit to Ban Shang Hai – a small fishing village that specializes in producing Lao Lao (fermented rice liquor). Arriving in Luang Prabang then transfer to your hotel for check in. Relax and experience the beauty of Lao Traditional Massage at local spa.
Luang Prabang is one of the most unique cities and charming town in Laos with its World Heritage, abundant natural blessings of water and greenery, art and archaeological sites. Because of its rich cultural, historic and harmonious relationship between the natural and built environment, the town was later declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1995.
