Day 1: Houaisay
Arrive at Houaisai
(immigration check point) from Chiang Khong (Thailand) then transfer
Day 2: Luangprabang
Continue to
downstream to Luang Prabang. On the way, short stop to visit some villages,
Tham Ting Cave - a pilgrim site of Luang Prabang people and its surroundings
during the Lao New Year in mid April; visit Bane Sang Hai where traditional
rice alcohol distillery can be seen. Arrive at Luang Prabang late
Day 3: Luangprabang City tour visit former royal temples, Wat Visun where one can see the Biggest Buddha statue. Wat Xieng Thong where the former royal carriage is placing. Mt Phousi overlooking the city of Luang Prabang.
Day 4: Vangvieng Overland route to Vang Vieng for approx 250kms. On the way, amazing scenic beauty and discover the life style of Lao people living on the road sides. Arrive Vang Vieng then free time at your convenience.
Day 5: Vientiane Overland route to Vientiane for another 150kms. On the way, stop over at Nam Ngum Dam boat cruising in the reservoir of the dam. Then short stop at Km 52, to visit minority villages. Arrive at Vientiane late afternoon.
Day 6: Vientiane Breakfast at the hotel and free time at leisure.
Day 7: Pakse Transfer to airport for flight to Pakse. En route to Champassak district to visit Vat Phu temple, archeological site built in 6th century by Khumer. It is a pre-angkorian temple intend to Brahmanism pratices of the people living in the Champapura city. Indeed when research was under taken in the area close to Vat Phu temple by UNESCO, a former city was discovered and presently hides under the ground by the time. Vat Phu temple worth to be visited. Arrive at Khong Island, “the land of four thousand islands “with its well ecology preservation, inviting for relaxation.
Day8: Biggest Water of ASEAN “Li Phi” Downstream to Bane Khone village by local boat. Along the cruise, natural beauty and scenery can be seen. Bane Khone village was the gateway to Laos from Cambodia during the period of French protectorate that's why some infrastructures still remained such as: port, railways, locomotive, bridge and few buildings can be seen.Along with the historical remainders, waterfall called “ Li Phi “ or “ the Corridor of the Devil “ must be visited. Then upstream to Bane Na Kasang, a fishery village to view Khone Phapheng waterfall the uniqueness wonder of the Mekong river. Khone Phapheng is also named the Niagara of South East Asia. Overland route back to Pakse. Arrive at Pakse late afternoon.
Day 9: Paksong “Lao best coffee grower” & Depature Visit coffee plantation and the processing of coffee at Paksong district. Transfer to Vang Tao Chong Mek (the Lao Thai border check point) for departure.
