Houaisay-Mouangsing-Luangprabang-Vientiane

Duration: 6 Days/5 Nights

Day 1: Houaisay

Meeting at Houaisay (Bokeo province) from Xieng Khong (Thailand). Visit the area surroundings Houei Xay, return to hotel and free time.

 

Day 2: Xiengkok

Transfer to boat landing about 30km and upstream to Xieng Kok passing through the famous Golden Triangle Zone. Arrive at XiengKok and continue to Moung Sing and on the way visit some ethnic villages, eg. Akha and Hmong villages. Arrive late evening at Moung Sing.

 

Day 3: Oudomsay

Visit the local market at 6 am, very colorful market where ethnic people come to sale and buy at the market. Overland route to Oudomsay passing through Nam Tha district and a small deviation to visit Boten, a city border check point between Laos and China, visit Na Toei , an ethnic village, eg. Akha, Leu , Hmong and Thai Dam. Arrive late evening at Xay district, capital of Oudomsay province.

 

Day 4: Luangprabang

En route to Luangprabang, on the way you can see beautiful sceneries, short deviation to visit Tham Ting cave also well known as Pak U cave. A second stop at Ban Sang Hay village to visit a traditional distillery lao alcohol. Arrive late evening at Luangprabang city, the World Heritage.

 

Day 5: Luangprabang

Visit the city: Vat Vixun, Vat Xieng Thong, the most elegant pagoda of the city dated in the 16th century, Vat Mai. Continue to visit the former Royal Palace convert into National Museum and visit That Chom Si at the top of Phusi Mount.

 

Day 6: Departure

Visit the local morning market then transfer to airport for flight to Bangkok. (B)
